I played for a couple minutes tonight - it rocks! The vehicles are hard to control, which actually turns out to be kinda fun, and the firepower is on par with other id games.

Sounds like fun. Too bad my crappy ATI video card is crashing my recently upgraded pc. Time for a new card.

I have played quite a few hours of this now and I can say it is an awesome sequel to Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory and if you are familiar with that game it won't take you long to get the hang of the interface and missions.
My favorite class from W:ET was Field Ops and the Strogg equivalent, the Oppressor, is brutal! He doesn't get to throw down ammo like the Field Ops but he gets portable energy barriers instead.
The beta only has one map, so it doesn't take long to get familiar with the terrain. Judging by this map however, the missions are going to be really fun.

Quake Wars Open Beta2 (http://www.fileplanet.com/178252/download/Enemy-Territory:-Quake-Wars-Client-Beta-2) now available!
New map: Yosemite (for the locals it's Hetch Hetchy (http://images.google.com/images?q=Hetch+Hetchy&hl=en&client=firefox-a&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&hs=4l4&um=1&sa=X&oi=images&ct=title))
Also a bunch of tweaks/balances to the gameplay (like way more battlesense xp) and the GDF (humans) finally get the rest of their vehicles, a two person flying gunship, a two person gun boat, a five person air transport and the Mobile Command Post (MCP)!
