Title: I Keep Vermin As Pets!
Post by: Anheg on June 20, 2007, 03:05:19 PM
I love hamsters!

Only problem is when they get out its really hard to find them, until you see what they have been chewing on in the meantime. In my case, Dale made a home in my sofa cusion.

On the subject of drops in UW, there wasnt a single gold drop. Meaning, nothing worth looking at twice.

My brother's hamsters used to stink up our room, but they eventually all died. He could fit 10 of them into this tiny lego submarine he had, and then when one of them got loose, he managed to chew into the walls near our bathroom, where i'm positive it caused some sort of damage that is the reason the shower occasionally leaks into the kitchen! I'd rather just call an exterminator and be rid of the pests!

My hamster is nice it's a Roborvski hamster.  She runs around in the wheel a lot.  I'm trying to get her to jump into the hamster ball on her own.  Even though Roborvski hamsters are the fastest of the hamsters she's really slow.

I consider rodents to be vermin and I don't keep vermin as pets.

Someone (hint hint) should split this topic off into a "I keep vermin as pets!" thread.

I usually wait for a few more off-topic posts to give it the chance of going back on topic. You just do your job, which is keeping your hands glued to your face. Now with you bringing me in off-topic too, I might as well.

Ya I was not liking the idea of a rodent but this thing isn't very stinky considering it's summer here and I keep the cage near windows and I only have one small hamster.  Aside from the squeaky wheel (which I oiled with olive oil) the hamster is silent.  Also it's a skittish little thing and runs from everyone so it doesn't desire any kind of emotional investment (just my kind of animal).
Plus my girlfriend wanted a cat and I ended up with a hamster...I think that's a pretty good deal.

No way would I return a creature that can fetch me my Johnnie Walker as fast as she can!
In all of her escapes she has not yet gone for the Frito stash. If this were to occur I would be inclined to turn a blind eye if she were to put above mentioned drink on the rocks.
