Title: Godspire returns

For how long you ask?

Well I'm not sure we'll just see how much everyone appreciates it being back online!

Expect it online late Friday evening EST.

I will post back here on the moment when its up anyway.

ffs my dad deleted my acc on his comp because i wrote an E on a test ~.~

im sure you know backtracker ... actually i found the sam file on my dads comp and i could save it on a cd everytime id want to but itd take about 5 days to 2 weeks on my crap comp to crack the password :| (on an average computer 9 hours cracking time)

Remember everyone, my server (http://lucidmagic.net:8080/forum/index.php?showtopic=2334) has a leveler, alignment changer, arena with dual manager, target range and a custom weapons and armor crafting system for anyone that needs a place to build their duelers before this weekend!

Sonicle, what's an "E" on a test? better than a F but not as good as a D?

(Someone apparently melted a bowl in their house and it stunk the house up, for some reason this affects her, and she is grounded.. so we'll see)

Have you tried one of the other ports? Not sure if it's a good idea, as other people may need these configured then as well, but it's worth a shot.

To host a server for NWN, I open up the following ports in my router, the first being most common and used:

5120 to 5300

6500 to 6500

6667 to 6667

27900 to 27900

28900 to 28900

Other than that, I have no idea. Didn't you say once in the past Lamespy having problems and doing odd shit with GS was caused from your router in some way? Though I thought you got a new one or fixed it or something, there could be some relation. Beyond that... Oo

Wanted to be on earlier, wished I could've but... I was SLEEPING MAN! Yep. From like, 5 pm to 11 pm. Go me.

You can't browse the server lists currently but you can still see GodSpire on your history tab.

Well, have you tried checking portforward.com? That's where I got the numbers from a long ass time ago. I can host a server just fine it seems, but well, obviously if I do it LAGGS. But it otherwise appears and everything. I have all the ports through my router and firewall, and you can only see it or connect to it, if I have the ports through my router, and that's all that seems to be needed for me.

It's odd.

Other than possibly power cycling the router (some require that for a port forward to take effect) I can't think of anything else that would be blocking GS from listing on GameSpy.

He said he noticed the server up on his favorites list, and that's how he got there. Anyway, he said that he wanted to bring some people to GS, and duel and so forth. I dunno.

I explained to him why there's usually not people because the server doesn't appear in the Lamespy lists. Apart from that, I just said I would tell everyone. I suppose he wants to see it back in action. =D

According to my history list, GodSpire has 2 different IP addresses and they always show up there so they must be the same two that it's always had.

My IP hasn't changed in about a year.
Sometimes the port gets all screwy and I need to restart my router...Has to do with the UDP protocol or some such. Talon explained it to me once.
