Title: How many FPS do you get in NWN 2?
Post by: ViperDE2004 on November 07, 2006, 11:46:55 PM
Im talking fps during gameplay. Not standing still.  I mean outside with like 5 or 6 people Thrashing it out.  Im in the 30-50, but i have a crazy ass laptop with core 2 duo 7900 GTX and all that bullshit.

Weird thing i found tho is that the more i play the game, the more i can up the settings.  The first time i played the game i had to turn everything down to minimum, and even that i had under 15 FPS.  Any ideas why this is happening?

Im just curious to see what everybody is getting.

Not sure yet.  I'd like to find a fix for the skybox issue before I play some more.  How do you check FPS in game?

What happens if you're in-between 50-70? There's no option for that. (*adds one* :P)

In game press ~ key.  This will bring up the console and then type "showfps".  It monitors all your fps rates, and many other things.  Wow thats one thing they improved.  Its about time... And whoever put over 70 FPS ya right.

I voted 30-50

I get 30 FPS when I'm in-doors (Sand's shop) and around 16 fps when I'm near the docks in Neverwinter. This is at 1024X768 with the graphics quality maxed.

We should probably designate a location to test FPS in since it matters what's nearby that is being rendered.

That's what the null-vote show results button is for.

I could, (I like computers too much :P), anyway I use 70 with 1280x1024, because with 75 I have that damn noise from the monitor.. Mmh maybe I have to change it..  :(

It all depends how much shit you got on and how much stuff theres around u.  In an empty room with a big ass dragon (those things are freakin wicked) i got 108 fps.  with everything turned up to max with 1920X1200 resolution.  but when i go outside i get screwed down to 25-32.  So i turned shadows to low, turned off water options and voila up to 50-60 in a battle.

haha in nwn 1 i  got 208 fps while fighting lol
