Ok, not only is it too jumpy for me to want to play it but im getting constant bluescreen errors saying there was a serious error and its dumping memory. It started when I installed NWN 2...

Yo anheg post your pc here I have the same card as you and i'm running it on maximum settings.
I'm having this stupid problem where I can't travel to that damned tavern at the beginning of the game. It just locks up. What the hizzy!?

Did you download the patch?

Downloading the patch was the first thing I did. Second thing I did was update my display drivers. The third thing I did was play the game, and I still can't get to that tavern. After it freezes, I wait for something like ten minutes before closing it, and when I hit Alt+F4 it says "Unpacking Module" for a split second before the program shuts down. It's incredibly frustrating.

Is it the collector's edition? What's your system specs?

It's the DVD edition (non-collectors) and I'm running Windows XP on an AMD 2800+ with 1 gb of ram.

My real question is: How did this make it past a year of QA?
Because it's a convenience feature, not a vital feature. I received a bug on it, programming didn't have time to implement it, and QA/development played the game without it.
I understand that it's a nice feature, whether you're dual-wielding or using weapon/shield, but it really is a matter of convenience.

@Cobra
Sorry can't answer that question, except that you should perhaps update your sound drivers and have a look at the sound options in game and play around with them.

And your 3d-card?
My system is the same but i have a athlon 2400+ 1 gig or ram and a GeForce 6200 running it on max, no lag, no crashes etc it really runs great here...
Windowed mode? Did you try screwing with the resolution to see if it changes something?

changing resolution in game does nothing.
Well I got my geforce 6200 installed and NWN2 works now. I'm playing at 1024x768 res with quality set to around medium i guess, and shadows turned off. Frames seem good so far. I tried fps in the command console but it didn't recognize. How do you check frame rate in game?
Now onto my problem. I seem to have a graphical problem. I am in the fair and the sky is black. See attachment. Any ideas? Anyone have a similar problem? Video drivers are up to date. I messed around with all the graphics settings nothing seemed to fix the problem.
EDIT: Problem disappears in windowed mode. hmmm.

Mo I have totally the same problem only my sky looks raped by squares it much worse then yours i think it's related to our geforce's if we both have problems with it...

Side not: No day and night cycle??

I posted a couple screenshots of the sun setting. Day/night cycle exists along with the ability to adjust the size/color of the sun as well as the speed at which it travels through the sky.
Im having a problem right now. Im ranger bard, with all the right stuff for AA, and get I cant take it, does anyone know why?

Make sure you're a Elf or Half-Elf

I'd like to know this myself.

I think Razor is right, something about the GeForce 6200. Try reverting to the manufacturer's drivers that came with the card or to an early version if you don't have the disk.
Razor: Does the sky fix itself if you put it into windowed mode like Mo did?
And i can't enter a single online server.
"Error downloading module" is what i get.

In 1.0 you had to have a copy of the mod locally. With the 1.01 patch they fixed it so that you can create a "Client Pack", which is a much smaller file that contains just the walkmesh. Check out instructions here (http://lucidmagic.net:8080/forum/index.php?showtopic=2517).

Don't know didn't try it in windowed mode i will report back once i do.
FPS works the same was as it did in nwn1. :)
By using the ~ button.

And whatever the key people with non-u.s. keyboards had to use is probably the same too then. ^^

Well, don't you think that's the first thing I tried?
Have you tried it? Because it doesn't work for me.

Thanks for the link HeLL. Unfortunately there doesn't seem to be a fix for this problem yet...grrr.
Hey why dont you use you're new mod powers and move those old troubleshooting posts into this thread :P

Yeah, I've noticed that too.
Actually I had thought about it, decided if I would I would later since I was busy. I guess it's later... LOL. B)
EDIT: And so shall it be! ^ ;)

Great job...Man that skybox problem is pretty common...not to mention...PRETTY ANNOYING!

Terrible...
Its a PoS Dell. 1024MB Memory, Pantum 4 Processor, 80GB Harddrive. Other than my card iv already posted thats all I know. Iv already thrown away the Dell monitor and speakers and am using my old Gateways' stuff.
No one else needs to tell me I need an upgrade, kthx
PS: Im uninstalling NWN2 until I have a good reason to try and get it working or upgrade my computer.
You've probably already seen this, but this post (http://lucidmagic.net:8080/forum/index.php?showtopic=2501&view=findpost&p=32412) and down seems to be alot about some problems with the Nvidia Geforce 6200. Perhaps it has something to do with the type of card in general? Well, those are some problems that have already been reported.
Did you try checking how it ran in windowed mode, or at different resolutions?
Has anyone with other types of cards had any problems like these?

No I didn't see the post hell but thanks, anyways the only problem i experience with my card is the sky other things are running very well and everything on max settings.
Also didn't try out in windowed mode haven't had the chance yet damn school...

Alright then, my guess is alot of this stuff will be patched up sooner or later, as Mo states in another thread. "Beta testing." Fucking shit guys, I'm beginning to be more and more glad that I decided to wait. lol.
P.S. I love the "find post" feature, even when things are moved, that link still works. Makes me wonder why people don't use it more... actually... no it doesn't.
