Title: How Damage Absorption Works
Post by: 420 on July 09, 2005, 10:52:12 PM
Here is the current situation regarding how Damage Absorption works in Guild Wars. Apparently this has changed in patches before so it may change again.

Right now it looks like 1 piece of armor, 1 rune and a shield with Damage Absorption will stack. Getting multiple pieces of armor or multiple runes with Damage Absorption won't do anything.

Read about it here. (http://forums.gwonline.net/showthread.php?t=350048)

Does Absorbtion Runes stack with that reduction already put onto armor?

Yup, so if you have 1 (minor/major/superior) absorption rune, 1 piece (Ascalon/Knights) armor and a shield with damage reduction they will all stack.

So a lot of hammer Warriors are using 1 damage absorption rune, 1 piece of knight's (or Ascalon) armor, Stonefist Gauntlets (lengthens Knockdown duration), Dwarven Helm (+1 hammer mastery) and Gladiator's armor for the rest.
