Title: Computerrrr...
Post by: Celestial1 on May 18, 2005, 09:39:57 PM
It figures. My computer won't start up. The recovery disks won't work without a total reformat so far.

In other words: I won't be able to get on to Guild Wars, or NWN at that, for at least a day. Even then, depending on how badly Compy 386 is messed up, I may lose all my data.

Currently I am on a Lappy 486. However, Compy is better, didn't cause a rupture in the time space continuum, nor did it have to be shot with Bubs' Homestar leg of a shotgun (My mouth wasn't a broken .jpg, I swear).

My HDD is officially a brick. System recovery, connecting HDD to external drive to backup information; nothing. It couldn't even be reformatted. That means we get to go throw it in a lake! Yippee!

Good news is, I didn't have too much important info I couldn't do without, and I'm getting 40 more gigabytes...

EDIT: Something-or-rather is now replaced with proper term. I think.

Psh, I have a better HDD, my motherboard just can't recognize it. Luckily I still get benefits of 8 GHz.

Try cleaning out your dang computer... *cough*

Bimonthly, or trimonthly even, will work just as well.

It's not really urgent cleaning thing, just get it nice and sparkly every once in a while. Just don't wipe down anything too hard and end up breaking something.
