GodSpire General / Europeans Sents

Also the sent lights do not show up if a sent is hiding; If sents are on and just feel like patroling it would prob be best to use a hider so you can watch out for randomers without them watching out for you.

Unfortunatly on GodSpire you must be hostile to make hide work.

However, I usually hang out in the Farm or the House of the Bear and tell players I know to message me if they need a Sentinel.

I gotta say its one of the best servers ive been on, could easily be God Spire's rival server.
I'm flattered but I doubt I will ever be able to equal GodSpires item filter, duel management or player tracking systems.

We could always include the new community prestige classes  :o

????
I havent CEP, but i think Talon will not authorize the CEP because GS is "All Version Compatible" and few people have it....... :(
Bioware is working for a new expansion, right? i hope it will be in shops early   :D
No new expansion from Bioware, though the CEP 2 expansion is in production.

Bioware is considering "digital downloads", where they will make new official campaigns that you can download for a small price. These campaigns will feature new content (creatures, placeables, etc) that will be released to everyone through patches.

That's as close as they will get to another expansion for NWN.

I am personally waiting for CODI and DLA to release their campaigns/HAK packs. Especially CODI because I'm a big Planescape fan.

Hmm, OK someone spent their own time and effort to advertise the web site of someone they hate?

Sounds like bullshit to me.

I suspect "Lum" actually made that flash short to get more hits on his site.

NwN General / Weapon Switching "Cheat"

I count the number of attacks so that I can cast True Strike as soon as it wears off. That's the most accurate way I have found to determine when it's the beggining of your round and safe to switch weapons.

That's why every one of my builds has a built-in weakness.

That way, when someone askes what my build is and they attempt to recreate it I just grab one of my other duelers that exploits the builds weakness.

It helps to have a dozen duelers or so on hand for this type of situation.

Actually, right now I have more like 8 different active duelers and Throbblefoot has 3 or 4, so... yea a dozen.

NwN General / Tasha's, bug or no?
« on: July 15, 2004, 12:27:26 AM »
It is a bug.

We determined that the only rules that allowed that combo were 2nd edition D&D rules.

Since NWN is 3E and 3E doesn't mention that combo working specifically it was ruled to be Bioware's lame implementation.

The problem is, "how" to fix it, which was where the discussion left off.

I think it should be a -4 penalty to saving throw if clarity is cast first.

If this is the legit Mozilla Browser then my reservations aren't as severe.
I have been using it for about a month now, though I still use Netscape and IE, firefox is now my default.

Basically Netscape won't make anymore updates to its browser. SO mozilla decided to do it themselves since Netscape was based on their technology anyway. It has all the functionality of Netscape, but it starts up quicker and loads pages faster.

Think of Firefox as Netscape 8.0

I was thinking about taking a break from NwN and start playing Medal of Honor instead. I just wanna try to play a 1st person shooter again, it was so long ago
Try "America's Army" or "Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory".

Both are excelent multiplayer, objective based FPSs with the ability to gain experience and ranks.

Best of all, both are free to download and play!

Best free games ever made.

Btw. I cant be in on godspire for a time, my computer has burned up..
What is this? an epidemic of computers not working?

This all started when my computers DX Compatibility blew up on me.. I come back and 2 days later Taarna's computer dies.. as soon as taarna gets back Mo's computer explodes...  Now Boo has computer issues.

Watch it guys.. this is an outbreak.
Happens every summer, last summer my computer's amplifier melted and Cuchulann's computer surged, destroying his hard drive, motherboard, processor and video card. Then two of my friends Hard Drives crashed.

Is it possible to make it so Belog doesent swallow all your "old" items, when you ask him for new?
Nope, you can try to find a place to stash your items outside of the main arena. If you are in the Halls of Iluvitar and drop your items, Belog will swallow those too. He is pretty greedy.

What's an enterni
Artemis Entreri is an "assassin" (Rog 4/ Rgr 1/ Ftr 12/ Asn 1) who a lot of young men have a big sloppy crush on.

He is one of Drizzt Do'Urden's many arch-enemies.

A lot of spazes like to use parts of the above names for their RPG characters.
(ie. "Spanky Entreri" or "Biggles Do'Urden")

I must agree with Les Claypool, I think he is a superior talent. I live close enough to walk to "El Rancho Relaxo" in fact!

He isn't just the bassest, he writes all the music, sings and has his own label "Prawn Song". In addition to Sausage his alternate bands include the Fearless Flying Frog Brigade.

Some others:

Slash - GnR, Velvet Revolver, etc.

Bootsy Collins - P-Funk

Beck

Prince

David Bowie

Wow.... Well... That was unexpected... Okay, i wont link.. again...
Don't be discouraged to post links Boo. How could you know that the GS people have been testing out the Bioware Epic Character Builds.

I personally check Biowares site every Wednesday for the "Bioware Wednesday" (used to be Neverwither Wednesday). That's how I knew about the builds.

Most people don't check that site weekly (or daily like me) so some people may be interested.

After all, GS provides pre-built items to use it a duel, why not encourage the newbies to use pre-built characters too, at least until they get familiar with how GS functions.

GodSpire General / All Gs Sentinels Please Read.
« on: July 05, 2004, 07:07:50 PM »
1. It is never acceptable for a sentinel to exploit a known bug in a duel. If your opponent is exploiting a bug, you have the power to freeze them and explain the rules. That is why you are a Sentinel.

2. Do not argue with DMs when they try to enforce the above rule.

Thank you for your time,

I thoguht it was the sequel to Diablo 2.
Not really that would be Diablo 3 and it would be made by Blizzard.

This game is being developed by ex-Blizzard employees who made Diablo and began Diablo 2 (though they left well before D2 ever went into production).

They didn't like the way Blizzard was handling Diablo 2 and decided to make a game that was 3d, provided Diablo-like random item generation, supported team-PvP AND takes place in a non-pay-per-play persistant world.

It's more like the next generation of D2-like game.

Oh, and the name calling, nice. You spout off about how everyone here are children but you are the one concerned about parents. Sorry, some of us haven't lived with our parents for over a decade. Some of our parents have died from old age.

Are "additional chapters" expansion packs or what. Or are they like disguised patches, there seems something fishy, an MMORPG has to get money some way and I think this is it.
Here is the deal, Guild Wars is being made by the people that developed Diablo and started Diablo 2. However, they didn't like how Blizzard was handling the design so they left to make their own game.

Considering their experience with online gamming I doubt lag will be an issue. Don't worry about loading the entire terrain on login, much of it will be stored locally I am sure.

The idea behind the "additional chapters" is that they wanted to make a MMORPG without charging people to play. (since pay-per-play sucks) So they will release expansions on a regular basis. Bioware and Blizzard can learn from this example.
