Hitman 1
gashmo:
Just how immersive is the storyline?
Is it like reading a book and you can identify with the hitman main character?
or is it just liek say HL or Quake ... wher eu r just a bot running around in fps view shooting things down..
most fps games to me do now have an immersive storyline. they dont make you feel like you are part of a deep and well fleshed story... its just an arcade...
Blood Angel:
In hitman you view the character from above him as in Splinter Cell.
To start with you plan a hit carefully with a map overview of where 2 chinese clans are going to hold a meeting. Here's what I did.
Checked the area before going on the mission with map. Bought a sniper rifle in suitcase (then I start the mission with it). I walked to an elevator and went to the roof then waited for the meeting. Both members arrived, and when talking I shot the 'Red dragon' member in the head. Then I went down the elevator without having a certain chopper noticing me and walked to my car and drove away.
So to sum up it starts with you being a cold hitman that's on a job (make the clans fight each other).
Maybe I shouldn't spoil the story :) but it has somewhat of a storyline yes.
James_2k:
i have only played hitman 2, i would also say that you should go for this.
apparantly the first game is kinda rubbish.
the second game has a storyline but its hardly war and peace
p.s.
if you want a good storyline get 'Mafia'
gashmo:
thanks james!
i might go check out mafia as well..
Blood Angel:
ROFL, after I had played the first one Hitman 2 was such damn bs. In Hitman 2 you can go straight in with 2 ballers and shoot every enemy down..... there's your game, RAMBO >.< this just wasn't possible in the first one, careful planning had to be made.
Mafia is a little fun, bit long and I never finished it, but it's real quality.
