I believe this is the case with all Ultima games. I tried playing the first Ultima but I just couldn't get into it. My friends all either loved it or hated it. I liked the original Final Fantasy though!

how can bloodangel not know what UO is? He must be truly stuck in nwn....

as you all know UO is now cracked and free online - each world is called a UO shard and yes, I hear its character skill stats are ven more detailed than nwn. UO has a pedigree in pc rpg longer than dnd.

Talon - what is a good reagent spell system like? I guess it mean syou need to collect ingredients to cast a spell.. I haven't used one, but what makes a god system?

If we really wanted to, we coudl even recreate godspires in UO, since you can build each shard yourself. Maybe Talon can tell us more about what UO shards and the game itself is like. I kow the gfx are a bit dated, but thats a bout all.

didn't ever start to play UO cuz I didn't use my comp much back then....
