I upgraded also.  Went pretty smoothly.  One from 7 to 10 the other from 8.1 to 10.
Cortana is cool but needs lots of work to be really useful.

No, everything should transfer over smoothly.

I gave 10 a try for a few weeks and tonight I rolled back to 7. 10 is the the ugliest most unstable OS I have ever used, and I ran Vista for a while. It had more crashes than a 70's rock star. Literally. Half the time it would not even boot up. So I am back to 7 everything is working smoothly and is pretty. All is well once more.

At some point this break I need to do a clean reinstall of Windows 10 to see if it fixes my issues with it. Otherwise I'm rolling back to Windows 7. I have not been particularly happy with my experience of it. At no point have I really been convinced that it was designed with desktops in mind. And yes, yes, it is ugly.
