Most/Least Literate Cities in America

(1/2) > >>

Soul Sojourner:
I recently read an article about the most and the least literate cities in America.
According to the article these are the most (in order):
1. Washington, D.C.
2. Seattle, Washington
3. Minneapolis, Minnesota
4. Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania
5. Denver, Colorado

This is the part that I found amusing. The five least literate cities are all in Texas and California, and despite their populations, have no cities in the top five.
America's least literate cities:
1. Bakersfield, California
2. Corpus Christi, Texas
3. Stockton, California
4. El Paso, Texas
5. Anaheim, California

Is this English literacy, because I bet a lot of the people in those cities read and speak Spanish.

Anyway, speaking for the California cities, those are the ones you speed up and pass on the highway when you get near them. Shit-holes, every one.

Mercy:
The same for both cities in Texas. El Paso is a fucking death zone. You never, ever want to go there. Unless you want to have your organs harvested or stray bullets from Juarez hit you.

Mo:
Sounds like great places to visit on the trans-America trip I'm planning.

Throbble tells me that my brother-in-law was born in El Paso. That explains so much...
