So, back in the beginning of June I saw something for sale on the auction house that I just couldn't pass up. A really nice Skorn for 15K gold! So I bought it and let it sit in the auction house stash until I could decide what to do with it. Initially I didn't want to use it because I'm a "self found" player and I figured I could flip it on the auction house for more gold.

However, due to the upcoming auction house closure and the fact that all items will be obsolete when the expansion introduces level 70 items, I decided yesterday to retrieve the Skorn and give it to my secondary barbarian.

She now does 87K unbuffed damage.

Holy Rocket Fellers Batman! I guess you are ready to play with the new item modification system when the expansion rolls out. Or craft up some bigger gems. Someone out there is certainly a nostalgia collector. I wonder if they own an unhealthy number of cats too.

If you search on "Dawn [Legacy]" there are only 9 there, the lowest buyout is 35m for a non-socketed one. Then the socketed ones range from 150M to 1.2B. I guess it's a good weapon to level with if you have a big ass ruby to stick in it.

Nah, I only kept the best one. More Int and some Dex on it.

Yes and I believe I hired you to help me use my infernal machines before June, What happened there? I still have 4 left and a bunch of act 1 keys I need to get partnered up. Is this what I don't pay you for???

I have 5 portals myself. Let's play this weekend, I have a couple builds that can farm MP 5 so we can get the rest of the keys you need. In fact, here is a picture of my Critical Mass wizard kicking butt in MP 5 yesterday (Note the 3x Desecrators I'm standing in.):

I'm usually on most mornings 7-10 am Pacific and afternoons 4-7 pm Pacific.

Pics from the Public Test Realm!

First, a couple legendary items that people were posting to the public chat! (Yes, I said public chat!)

Next, some new crafting/socketing items.

Finally, a pic of my barb fighting champs with a new affix ("orbiter") and look how big the berserker is now!

A couple pics that didn't come out (they came out all black with a cursor) were the new "nephalem orbs" which drop like health orbs and temporarily give you a boost to your damage and run speed. This temporary timer can be reset by picking up more nephalem or health orbs and the effect can stack up to five time.

The other was a "Cursed Chest" and "Cursed Shrine" next to each other. I activated the shrine which caused skeletons to spawn. Once I beat them the shrine turned into a normal Shrine of Protection and the chest turned into a Resplendent Chest.

How are the obsolete crafting materials dealt with? Can you combine them into new materials or do we just need to sell them off?

Can't combine them from what I can tell. But the recipes seem to be a combination of new and old crafting materials:

The new patch has gone live and I have already found 2 legendaries. Think ill leave the crossbow unidentified until i have the expansion installed so it can get credit for transmogrifiying.

Got my first legendary (set) item in 2.0!

This dropped off of Super Awesome Sparkle Cake, a purple name unicorn in Whimsyshire:
(As you can see, the set bonuses are different and it is not compatible with pre-2.0 set pieces from the same set.)

Got a few good items yesterday and this morning. First two got my Demon Hunter over 111K damage! Third is for my newly re-skilled secondary Wizard who focuses on arcane damage.
