At least you don't live in Omyakon, Russia. An average temp of -50 F in the winter and a record low of -96 F. I read that people's glasses freeze to their faces and they don't ever shut their vehicles off because they're not likely to start back up.

Good news is the DSL equipment seems to have been fixed. Internet is now stable.

There is a little shit-hole in northern Main called Bangor where my distant relatives have electrical plugs that are attached to the car engine so they can plug it into the house at night to keep it from freezing over.
