Still playing Saints Row. Throbble and I have bought a few of the $2.99 DLCs. Mostly for new vehicles and some cool outfits.

Apparently there is going to be a free weekend on Steam for Saints Row: The Third.

I say apparently because I only got one announcement about it from Steam before it went down for "scheduled maintenance" yesterday. (Maintenance scheduled for the same day Borderlands 2 was released for some jackass reason.)

The only other information I found was from a site called Neoseeker:

PC gamers who haven't yet experienced the magic and absurdity of Saints Row: The Third can this weekend free of charge: a free weekend for the sandbox action game is being held on Steam.

The news comes courtesy of an avid fan who discovered the text "Saints Row: The Third Free Weekend - Sep 2012 (Complimentary)" appears in your purchase history, but not in your Steam library. It stands to reason the game will start showing up in libraries starting tomorrrow or Thursday for pre-loading ahead of the weekend.

Anyone who didn't get this game should try it out this weekend. I'm up for some multiplayer Saints Row: The Third anytime!

From Thursday, September 20 to Sunday, September 23, enjoy Saints Row: The Third on Steam for absolutely free. Cost to you: zero, zilch, nada. Why? Because we care. Sign in, download, and strap it on!

On September 24 after the free trial, you can choose to purchase the full game and continue wreaking havoc in Steelport. Just because the trial ends doesn't mean the carnage has to.
