I like post count because I'm interested in knowing just how many posts I've made on a board. Well, with some forums or categories that don't add to postcount, some boards taking away from postcount as a form of punishment (weird...), and admins or mods messing with people's postcounts for any reason at any time, your own postcount is rarely the actual count of posts you've made on a board.

I knew with random ranting and various other factors on this board that my 1908 (or 1909 now?) posts aren't how many posts I've really made, so I was interested in finding out the actual number. Before you ask why, I'm just curious to know. I just like to see what I've done on the boards I visit. SMF actually has a lot of sweet statistical features. =D

My true post count, with this post, should be 3,100. lol That's a huge difference.

I figured other people might want to know theirs as well. So for anyone who doesn't already know how, the easiest way is to go to your own profile, (click on yourself to view your profile, just like you would to view someone else's profile) go to "Show Posts" on the menu to the left, find your way to the very last page in your list of posts, and then scroll to the bottom of the last page and find your very first post.

The number of the post is your true post count. =D

Though... this obviously doesn't count any of your posts that have been deleted... this is as close as you get!

2364 including this post for me, but that still doesn't count anything before that crash when LM went down and the forums had to be recreated and we all had to re-register.

You can pretty much consider "before that crash" as a previous board, since posts and topics from then are destroyed. I know crashes are a pain. On my board, for instance, there was a time where a temporary board was up while the real board was down... no way to really have what happened there and during the time it was down as a part of the boards history except in people's memories.

In terms of my activity, this board would be second place... although there are many boards I am less active on that I have higher postcounts on. This board and my own are the only ones I frequent nowadays.
Obviously I'm most active on my own board... lol... let's see.. I have 14,985 posts, 355 PM's received, and 457 PM's sent at the moment. LOL I joined my own board 1 year and 1 month later than this one. (ironically, my fiance created the board on my birthday before she even met me, lol) So I didn't create the board, I just took it over! =P

I seen this guy on another board I sometimes still visit, had 25,000+ postcount. Was his real postcount. lol!

lol. The board has 59,684 posts. Only 14,987 are from me, so I can't be talking to only myself all the time!

Also, I've seen anime boards that the post counts are insane. I'm talking users that haven't even been on six months in the fifty thousand range. Come on now, you have to have something better in life than just posting constantly on an anime web site about One Piece or whatever you are watching.

Overall, actually! I decided to create this second entity for my second self. Well, it's complicated... but I just refer to my other self as a second personality. This name or what have you is just this side of me. I only refer to this part of me as my second self, since you met my 'first' self first. Err... it's complicated.

I'll talk it over with my first self (Anheg), now that you guys know about us/me/us.
