1.69 Content
« on: July 14, 2008, 08:36:56 PM »
Post any screenshots of new 1.69 content or functionality here.

I've been experimenting a bit with scaling today and here is something I put together to get a feel for it's potential. This pick has every scale of dragon in it starting from 10% regular size up to 200% (or double) regular size in 10% increments. I've labeled 10%, 100%, 150% and 200%.

In front of them are a normal sized human (Neverwinter Guard) next to a human sized 50% larger.

That's pretty sweet, I didn't realize they added that.

Looks like a whole new set of animations was created for mounted PCs.

This one is "Threaten":

That horse doesn't look half bad. I have yet to even try mounts out. In fact, I still need to try the new class and weapons out. One day I'll be ready for NWN and get back into it and try it all, hopefully. =D

I have a feeling you'll be posting most of the screenshots in this thread, 420.

Looks like it.

Here is a pic of Smith Hold's three DMs sitting at the top of the lighthouse in the new CEP Meeting area Throbblefoot built using the new tropical tileset.

Actually for NWN 1.69 you'll need CEP v2.1 which uses the Bioware horse riding system.

The newest revision is CEP_2_Full_c.7z with the top .hak file from CEP21_Start_Mod.7z.

This is all due to last minute fixes for beta updates before the official release of 1.69.

CEP v2.2 is in the works now and will have a ton of new content. However, all the pics posted here are from patch 1.69, not CEP.

Reeaaally? Huh. That's a bit funny that it needs cep. One thing about CEP, it sure takes up some space.

I didn't know there was a newer version out, I thought I still had the latest one. Sorry for the incorrect link, Mo. =)

Haha, nevermind man. I misunderstood what you said. You mean that you'll need CEP 2.1 for NWN 1.69 because of the horse riding system, right?

I was thinking you meant that CEP was needed for the 1.69 update, it didn't make sense to me, but since it was from you I figured it must be true and thought that it was funny. I was clearly confused. I didn't take it into consideration that you were being specific on the versions, so I got a jumbled message. =D

I have 2.0 installed, I believe. I know it takes up a good amount of space, I remember seeing that in add and remove programs. That's the main thing I don't like about it. The upside is that it has a lot of content. The only real reason I keep it installed is for when I play NWN and want to partake in modules that make use of it's features.

Anyway, concerning the question you asked, you can dismiss that particular comment, 420.

There are new wings and tails in 1.69. In addition to chromatic and metallic colored dragon wings, demon wings and lizards tails there are also a few "equipment" wings like backpacks, quivers and scabbards.

Here are some pics of the new equipment. The backpack can be without the bedroll, the quiver without arrows and the scabbards (3 types) without swords. There is also a greatsword.

That's pretty sweet, though the backpack looks kind of lame if you ask me.

It looks better when you aren't a fat purple half-orc.

Well, I was just thinking of how similar it is with clothes dropped on the ground. Needs to be spiced up!
