Neverwinter Nights 2 > NWN 2 General
1.07 Becomes 1.10

To continue the bizarre saga for Obsidian being completely fucked check out this:
--- Quote ---Rob McGinnis has posted up a simple set of instruction on how to install MoTB to avoid errors/conflicts. When installing MoTB, please use the following instructions:
1. Install NWN2
2. Patch NWN2 to the latest version (1.10 as of Sept. 29, 2007)
3. Install Mask of The Betrayer
4. Download and apply the hot fix for your language, listed below.
If you do not apply the hot fixes, when you attempt to play the game you will see sections of missing text and the Campaign name will say it is undefined. It does not matter where you run the HotFix from, it should find your install directory automatically and put the files where they need to go.

You know it's bad when they insist on modifying "instructions" with "simple." The simplest instructions would be "install the expansion and voila it works...."

Mo:
Hmmm ok...So Obsidian releases an expansion and then all of a sudden notices major bugs and needs to release a zero day hotfix to patch them. I mean all the patching normally required to run an expansion is...guess what? Included WITH the expansion ....lol

Well, it wasn't a simple thread lock this time. Oh no, I got a temporary ban from posting.
And I wonder why American product quality is going to shit...

Rob "I'm gonna ask Bioware to ban you for me." McGinnis tried to get my banned for multiple days but I was banned for about 12 hours (10 of those I slept through).
Anyway, Mr. Community Coordinator continues to impress (but not in a good way):
--- Quote ---DO NOT INSTALL THE LATEST PATCH
Hello Everyone,
There is currently a patch available on the Autopatcher. DO NOT INSTALL THIS PATCH!
If you do, it will overwrite your CD Key(s) and cause you much havoc.
Edit
If this patch has already been installed, you will need to manually open the file "nwncdkey.ini" and replace the CD key(s) with the original keys you entered at the time of installing the game. The file can be found in the NWN2 install folder.
If you have a backup of nwn2cdkey.ini from after you installed MotB, you can instead just restore the file from your backup.
