A Moderator
Soul Sojourner:
It makes sense, it's just not structured the way modern English usually is.
"Having moderator privileges does not make someone a quality moderator." That is what it is says in different words.
I really don't care who they think should or shouldn't be a moderator. I feel that I do a good job, and I don't over do it, nor do I do a bad job, so I'm content. Besides, there are admins on this site too. One is never here. (even though people probably like that), one doesn't do much in general (except alot of those lethal warnings about warez), and the other runs everything, but often just has me do junk for them. (which I don't mind at all)
The point is, nobody complains about those things about them. And that before I was moderator, people would often ask for topics to be split, removed, or deleted just like they do now, except now a couple of them find it unreasonable that they have to ask (usually before I even get around to it, most of the time I let a topic go off topic a ways before splitting it, so that the off-topic part has grown more and has more potential to be it's own discussion outside of the current thread, also because the off-topic part only being a few posts doesn't hurt anyone if it ends up back on topic without getting too far off-topic) or feel that they could do a better job... well shit, why didn't you say that BEFORE I was a moderator? Honestly, if you don't want me as a moderator, I'm not going to care, if Mo doesn't want me as a moderator, he can remove that power, but as long as I am one, I'll keep doing what I think I should do, if I make a mistake, oh well, I'm human. If I'm not a moderator, that's fine too, then you can whine and moan about off-topic posts to an administrator instead. Or better yet, if you think you can do a better job, how about you just ask to be one, I'm sure Mo would make either one, or both, of you moderators. Now, I personally don't think Talon is active enough, but 420, you'd do just fine, right?
So all in all, it comes down to the "you wouldn't do things the same way" deal. So, what do you guys say? Want to be mods? No? Then keep whining about me, or whatever it is you like to do instead. Yeah? Well, then good for you, have fun or something.

May I ask when this happened? I know the first part, I made a mistake, but I don't recall ever not moving the related part back... I'm pretty sure I did. Show me.

Sounds good to me. That was a lot of stuff to read through just to get to this point.
Same as it's always been. Just like an episode of The Simpsons.

kk. ^_^
It's fun, but I wanted to say that anyway, so now everyone is on the same page.
Throbblefoot:
Talon is using a figure of speech - actually, if we're being accurate, it's hyperbaton - changing word order to emphasize meaning. Talon's using one of the most common instances. Its construction is:
An <obvious indicator> does not a <noun> make.
So, "A carving knife does not a butcher make" means "Just having a knife doesn't mean you know how to cut meat properly."

PS - The Wikipedia article might explain the general idea:

Soul Sojourner:
Ah, I see. I knew it was something like that, I've seen and wrote them before.
