I wouldn't buy that card unless it's dirt cheap. R600 will be out in a few months (AMD/ATI DX10 part) which will bring prices down a lot on the x19xx cards.

I'm currently using a x850xt until i finally upgrade.

yea, my x850 rocked.

Im not completely positive honestly if it is the real problem.

There is no comp to monitor relay atm.

i.e. - When I turn that comp on, all it does is have a screen like the loading screen except its all white and fuzzy. Like on a tv with no reception, except the fuzz is more in focus and looks squiggly. Im just guessing its the graphics card as I have never had a card burn out or anything.

Try removing you card and reinserting it, could just be loose. Otherwise, that sounds pretty much like a burnt out card. Though, in my experience, 3d graphics cards will either burn out their 3d chips (tilesets in NWN will flicker), or the 2d will fry (text in D2 goes squiggly) but the most common burnout is a complete loss of any signal to the monitor.

Well I've never had any problems with the actually hardware of any graphics card i've owned.  Do you have another graphics card you can put in to test?

lolz! I had emailled ATI about the problem and they sent me an email saying :

"Are you sure that it is the graphics card? It sounds like it is just your computers software has an error in it."

Just can't see it? I had a problem over a year ago, where my driver was missing a file for my video card. I tried reinstalling the driver multiple times, but the file was still missing for some reason, and somehow my display device got turned off, so I couldn't see the screen. I tried reinserting the video card, after removing it, and a few other things, but I couldn't fix it. So I sent it to a tech, hoping they would be able to, but they said they couldn't and didn't know why, which was shitty, because the only thing they could do was whipe the HDD and reinstall. Which I could have just done myself. And so they did, sent my computer back, and my video card hasn't worked properly like it used to ever since.

So maybe try taking it out and putting it back in. If you haven't already. Cause that's what *should* have worked for me.

Nope, no funny burning smell, seeing as it still works, it just makes my computer alot slower, and hurts my fps significantally with some things, and won't allow me to play certain games by exiting out on me randomly or restarting my computer.

Also, I have to restart my computer every time after I turn it on when it's been off for awhile, otherwise it goes even extra slow, and the first restart right after makes it go faster, but not nearly as fast as before.
