Author Topic: Can you see ThrobbleServ in the "Social" list? (Read 9455 times)

Next time you guys get on NWN can you just check to see if you can see ThrobbleServ listed in the Social channel (not history or favorites).

For some odd reason both Throbble and I can no longer see our own server listed as of Monday afternoon.

Fuck I hate GameSpy.

I can see it today though for the last couple of days I have not. It still may be due to a problem on my end, but Throbbleserv is the only one I ever have trouble with seeing or connecting to.

So it seems like the problem isn't just limited to 420 and me; someone just logged into ThrobbleServ to say that he could see it on his history list but not in the Social channel. Apparently his friend couldn't see it at all....

Looks like the problem with ThrobbleServ not showing up in Social was resolved this afternoon when our ISP recycled our dynamic IP. I guess the connection had gotten "stale" or something.

Try it now, fucking nwserver is a POS, I still haven't tried NWNX yet. Maybe I'll test it next week and see if it can prevent the server from freezing like it does once in a while.

I saw Throbbleserv a few hours ago without a problem. I would have stopped in but I'm in my first day at a new house and am still moving but I'll stop in this week hopefully to get a duel in or two since there's no GS up.

GS is up and has never been down, try direct connecting to the IP at the top of the GodSpire subforum. (Currently: 70.82.81.75:5121)

I think Mo mentioned that it was because his server was forwarding TCP ports instead of UDP ports. Not sure why though.

I have an idea, it may be stupid, but if someone of us hosts a little little server redirecting to yours... i think there will be at least someone on.

I've just done it... look in the action room.

Are you sure that it isn't a port forwarding problem??? I'm sure you just know that the ports to forward be added to the list are:

26900
27900 (Master Server UDP Heartbeat)
28900 (Master Server List Request)
29900 (GP Connection Manager)
29901 (GP Search Manager)

It works but even if people ae on GS, your server still shows 0/20 and I know some people won't log in unless players are already logged on.
