Hey everyone, check out the readme for the 1.67 patch. 13 new creatures, 79 new placeables and 44 new scripting commands!

1.67 Patch Info

Now we can add/remove wings, tails, tattoos and prosthetics (hook hands and peg legs) through scripting. We will aso be able to change the name of non-PC object IN-GAME! (sweet)

1.67 Beta 3 is now available! Looks like we may have another month to wait for 1.67.

Find out what's new in Beta 3 here.

Looks like wings and tails can be set to the color of the character your applying them to.  Not to clear of how all that will work though.

Avariel can have different color plumage. The most common is pure white, but there are some Grey and Black. No Avariel have brown (like the wings used now)

The ones in HotU had brown wings because the feathers were filthy and rotten from them living under ground for so long.

1.67 Beta 3 is out with a few new enhancements. I think this is new to the Beta 3:

Quote
Added strings to bow models.

EDIT: More tidbits:

Quote
# Added Hook Hands and Peg Leg armor appearance variations to the toolset.

# Added new Trident weapon models to the toolset under Polearms (x2_inc_itemprop.nss, x0_i0_match.nss). There are no new Trident specific weapon feats associated with Tridents at this time (BaseItems.2da).

# Added a new Shipwreck group to the desert tileset.

# Added 4 new groups to the city exterior tileset (Merchant Ship and Weather Ship variations).

So.. new tileset goodies, no feats for Tridents and the Peg Leg is going to be armor instead of alternate foot/shin models.

Current Available Beta: 1.67 Beta 4
Updated: Monday April 18, 2006, 16:00 MT

At this rate the Beta numbers will be increasing exponentially quickly. It started as one month per Beta, now it's down to a few days. Soon we will be getting a new Beta every hour, then minute, then second until finally we'll get to "as Beta reaches infinity" which will be indistinguishable from the full 1.67 release!

I read through the readme and it doesn't look like they added anything new since Beta 3 so we could be in luck!

EDIT: Good news, an official post that says Beta 4 should be the last one and we can expect 1.67 soon!
