Whoa, now lets not get all crazy and confuse scientology with science. The only thing Scientology has proven is that anyone can invent a successful religion. It was created on a bet after all.
As far as following fiction books, I don't see anything wrong with that. There is no difference between the morality plays in the Bible and the morality plays in Shakespear or Dr. Seuss. Regardless of the historical accuracy of the stories, they are still timeless metaphors for the human condition that we should never forget (lest history repeat itself).
For instance The Cat in the Hat Comes Back is basically the story of Adam and Eve: Paradise is threatened when its inhabitants delve into forbidden knowledge. The pink ring around the tub represents the fruit of the tree of knowledge and the children (Adam and Eve) must hide the evidence (the pink ring) and disassociate themselves from Satan (The Cat in the Hat). Its all very self-explanatory.

Whoa whoa whoa, do not misinterpret my words.
I do not say scientology has anything to do with science, I was saying scientology is based off a fiction novel, and a bunch of people decided to blindly believe in it and take it in as a religion, which I was saying proves that people have blindly followed a fiction book, and the same could have, and probably did, happen with the bible. Not that science or scientology have any relation whatsoever. Glad I cleared that up.
