Here I have put together some music files that would be really nice in almost any rpg game.  I believe most of these are from popular video games. They would work nicely in modules too.

lol MIDI music.  How quaint.  Did you know that Final Fantasy music has just made it on iTunes :P

In Japan video game soundtracks have for years been huge.  Dragon Quest or Castlevania pwn 50 Cent there :D

Let's see who the biggest RPG geek is!

First something easy. click here

This isn't OST, but a remix.

PS. If you don' know this you are too young and your knowledge of RPGs is too limited to play this game.  Goodbye  :stinker:

It is the final battle music from Dragon Warrior.  Considered to be the grand father of console RPGs, released for Nintendo in 1989.

I recognize it, just can't place it. Final Fantasy is my best guess... I or II because I know I need a random number.

EDIT: Hahah! It's Final Fantasy 1 battle theme!

Yes I know... I have no idea why these random animals are carrying 148 gold and a magic fire ring. It will be forever a mystery![/span]

Ah, the music from Final Fantasy 1 is too easy!

Anyone remember the contest Nintendo Power magazine had when FF1 came out? Right before the final boss there was a bridge that if you walked around on it long enough a rare encounter would trigger and you fought this massive ROBOT! The contest was to take a photo of the TV screen with the robot and send it in. I entered the contest but didn't win I still got some of the blurry pictures though!

The Warmech encounter was in the Air Castle right before Tiamat.  Much before the final boss. Yes, I actually remember that contest.  Here's a little bit of RPG History trivia, does anyone know how Final Fantasy got it's title?

Well, it has been (takes of shoes and socks to count) uh... 15 years since I last played FF1.

Though I must say, after FF1 I lost all interest in consol RPGs when Clouds of Xeen (Might and Magic 4) and Dark Side of Xeen (Might and Magic 5), 2 games combined to make World of Xeen, came out. I'm just glad FF7 came out on the PC!

lol I was also glad when FF7 for PC came out.  referring to Mo's mention about FF music on iTunes, I actually bought the album from the FF6 game from there as well as Sephiroth's theme - One-Winged Angel.  Anyone got other worthy mentionable FF songs to download?

That was pretty good.  It wouldn't be a FF game without The Prelude.
